|Eli Manning is being benched and the Jones era with the New York Giants is about to begin. Coach Pat Shurmur announced Tuesday that the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL draft is replacing two-time Super Bowl MVP as the Giants' starting quarterback.
Analysis: Jones hit 29 of 34 passes for 416 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the preseason. His 137.2 quarterback rating was the best in the league.

Analysis: Siemian's lower left leg bent awkwardly after Cleveland's Myles Garrett slammed him to the turf as the veteran quarterback released a pass in the second quarter. Siemian was able to limp off the field, though it would be surprising if he returned to the game. With Sam Darnold out several more weeks with mononucleosis, the Jets have been forced to turn to Luke Falk at quarterback. They could be in the market for a veteran in the coming days.

Analysis: The third-year tight end landed on his head when being flipped over by a Jets defender on an incomplete target from Baker Mayfield and will end the night without a catch. Njoku, who had four receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown in the season opener, could have trouble being cleared for Cleveland's next game with the Browns on a short week.

Analysis: Thomas, acquired by the Jets from New England last Tuesday, had missed the Patriots' season opener with a hamstring issue and totaled minus-1 yards on one catch before exiting. Injuries are piling up for the Jets, and LeVeon Bell may be the team's only player worth considering for a fantasy start right now.
