BOILING SPRINGS, N.C. (AP) Jaheam Cornwall made 8 of 13 3-pointers and matched his career high with 24 points and Gardner-Webb beat High Point 86-55 on Monday night.
Eric Coleman Jr. had 13 points and Rob Peterson III, Denny Slay II and Jamal Wright scored eight apiece for High Point (7-18, 4-8), which shot 40% from the field (21 of 51) and 4 of 14 from 3 (29%).
John-Michael Wright, who led the Panthers in scoring heading into the contest with 15 points per game, failed to make a shot (0 of 7).
