HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) C.J. Burks had 21 points as Marshall beat Florida International 94-78 on Wednesday night.
Taevion Kinsey had 18 points for Marshall (17-13, 10-7 Conference USA), which won its fourth straight game. Jon Elmore added 18 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Darius George had 14 points and eight rebounds for the home team.
Osasumwen Osaghae had 19 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks for the Panthers (18-12, 9-8), whose four-game winning streak was broken. Brian Beard Jr. added 12 points and six assists. Trejon Jacob had 10 points.
The Thundering Herd improve to 2-0 against the Panthers for the season. Marshall defeated Florida International 105-97 on Jan. 19. Marshall finishes out the regular season against Florida Atlantic at home on Saturday. Florida International finishes out the regular season against North Texas at home on Saturday.
