SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (AP) Amadou Sow had 12 points and tied a season high with 11 rebounds to help UC Santa Barbara beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 55-45 on Saturday night.
Devearl Ramsey added 10 points for the Gauchos (7-2), who bounced back from a 67-63 loss to Washington last Sunday to win their sixth in the last seven.
UC Santa Barbara took the lead for good at 24-21 on Armond Davis' 3-point play that capped the first-half scoring with 41 seconds left in the period. The Gauchos carried the momentum into the second half, scoring the first five points of the period and extending the lead to 47-28. The Golden Lions (2-7) were unable to get the deficit back to single digits and lost their third straight.
Martayeous McKnight led UAPB with 22 points and made 4 of 6 from 3-point range.
